| Frequently Asked Questions  How do I place an order? All orders must be placed online from our eShop. Simply select the product you wish to purchase by clicking on “Add to Basket” next to the product description. Click on the “View Basket” link in the bottom left of the shop frame or in the top menu to see the items you have selected - but have not yet purchased. To complete the purchase of items added to your basket, click on “Proceed to Secure CHECKOUT”. After this you will be asked to fill in your name, address and email address (step 1). This information is not sent to The Tea Towel Company in an encrypted form. In the next page, you select a method of payment (step 2) and in the following page (step 3) you enter your credit card details. All the information you enter in step 3 takes place on a secure connection, which means that your credit card data are sent in an encrypted form. Your purchase will be finalised and registered once you have clicked on “Accept” (in step 3) and your credit card details have been confirmed by the issuer. After confirming your purchase, the order confirnation details are shown (step 4) and you can print them out. You will also receive an email shortly after containing your order confirmation details. We recommend that you keep this mail for your records. However, if you accidentally delete it, we can send it to you again if you send a mail to orders@theteatowelcompany.com asking us to do so. Is it safe to pay by credit card? Yes. The credit card data that you submit when buying a product is encrypted with a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol which ensures that the information is transmitted securely without anyone else having access to it. The Tea Towel Company does not have access to your credit card data. Please see the Secure Shopping page for detailed information about payment security at our website. The prices are shown in British pounds (GBP). Can I see them in other currencies? Yes, you can. The prices can also be shown in Euro (EUR) or in Danish crowns (DKK). You change the currency by making a selection in the currency box shown on the product pages. It's shown at the bottom of the top-level product pages and just under the price on a specific product page. What is the delivery time? If you place your order before 2PM CET, Monday-Friday, we will generally be able to pack and send your order on the same day. Orders received after 2PM CET will usually be packed and sent on the next working day. The delivery time within Denmark is 1-3 days and to the rest of EU, 2-7 working days. What are the delivery charges? When you buy for more than 500 DKK/GBP 61/EUR 67, delivery is free. When your order is under this amount, you pay a fixed delivery charge. The prices for delivery within Denmark and to the rest of Europe are as follows: | Destination | DKK | EUR | GBP | | Denmark | 65,00 | | | | Europe | 75,00 | 10,08 | | All packages are sent using Post Danmark, a Danish postal service, and are given a tracking number (Track & Trace) so you can follow your package's way to your home. This service costs a little extra but helps make sure that the package arrives on time and to the correct recipient. Can I have my purchases gift-wrapped? We automatically gift wrap all orders as a free service. How often is this website updated? At present, the website is updated on a daily basis. If I accidentally delete my order confirmation mail, can you send it to me again? Yes. Just send a mail to orders@theteatowelcompany.com asking us to send it again. Do any retail outlets sell your products? No. Our products are sold exclusively from this eShop. I live in a country outside the EU. Can I buy products from your eShop? Currently, we only receive orders from customers resident in an EU country. Do the textiles shrink in the wash? Cotton is an organic material, so shrinkage cannot be avoided. The product label on all our textiles states that they can shrink 5%. What you can normally expect is shrinkage of 2-3%. |
